 WELCOME
We are having such a fun time in kindergarten!  We have spent a lot of time learning routines, rules and getting to know each other.  The first week of school we learned about our school by trying to find the gingerbread man.  We looked in the office, the nurse's office, the library and the principal's office, but we just couldn't find him.  Finally, we caught him in a trap the children made and we gobbled him up!!  Most everyone loved eating the gingerbread and wanted more!  Yummy, yummy!

Our Smartboard is a great addition to our classroom. The children love doing activities on it. We use it for morning letters, attendance, math, handwriting and the best is all the activities we do with Jolly Phonics.  Spotty Snake, Inky Mouse and Busy Bee become alive to  the children.

We are practicing our numbers and learning to write them the kindergarten way.  We are all becoming very good at this. Th children love our new math program called Math In Focus because there is a lot of hands on experiences for them. We are working on numbers 1-10 and different ways to put them together.

Writing in journals is also fun to do because each child has their own journal.  We are trying very hard to sound out words and put our letters together.

Singing songs is another favorite in kindergarten.  Come by and sing with us sometime.  Our welcome mat is always out!
