
Course Title: Sophomore Physical Education
Course Description:
This course is designed to expose all sophomore students to various team and individual sports. Instruction will focus on strategies, and rules as it pertains to each sport. The students will create an IFP (individual fitness plan) and assess their progress during the semester. The students will be trained in AHA CPR and will be eligible to earn their CPR certification if they meet the criteria. The cost of a CPR card is $2.00. In addition, students will participate in various fitness activities, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fitness components include flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance,speed, agility, which will be tested periodically.
