Monarch, Bluestem, and Caudill Award Voting
The results are in! The book nominated for the 2012 Illinois Monarch Award with the most votes at Rose School is Shark vs Train, with 20% of the vote. Receiving the most votes from fourth and fifth graders is the 2012 Caudill Award Nominated book Knucklehead, with 19% of the votes.
Third, fourth, and fifth graders planning to vote for their favorite Bluestem book have an extra month to read. Any student in 3rd - 5th grade that has read or listened to at least four of the
twenty nominees will receive a Bluestem ballot in mid-March.
For all three awards, the votes of Rose School students will be combined with the thousands of votes cast across the state of Illinois. I can't wait to see which books win! Check back for state results.
