Textbook Policy
You are responsible for the condition of the textbooks and/or CD's that are checked out to you. If the textbooks are lost or damaged, a fee will be placed on your student account. If the book must be replaced, you will have to pay the replacement cost of the book. You will not receive your schedule during the summer months for the following year, if you owe an obligation to the school for textbook fees.

To cut down on the chances of being assessed damages, please do not drop your textbooks on the floor. They are heavy and if the spine breaks, you will be charged $10 to rebind the book. You will also be assessed damage fees if you write in the textbook.

If you are missing a textbook, you can check online to see if the book has been turned in to the Library Media Center. Use your Novell user name and password; the same one you use to log onto the computer. (Don't include the year you graduate. Just your name.) Or, you can come to the library and talk to someone at the circulation desk. If the missing item does NOT appear on the list online, the library has it.

Should you need an additional textbook while your book is missing, you may check out an additional textbook. You will then be responsible for both books. If the book does not get turned in, you will be billed for the missing book.

Electronic Textbooks
The link for electronic textbooks is on the right. You must be signed into SchoolWires to access the textbooks. Your user name = your first initial and last name (for example, jsmith). If you put a number at the end of your user name, please do it here too. Your password is your ID number. The passwords and instructions for the electronic textbooks are on the password protected page.

Additional Textbooks

Due to the large number of students in our building, we are not able to honor parent requests for duplicate sets of textbooks. You may receive a second set of books if you have an IEP or a 504 plan that specifies such a requirement based on a disability.

There are outlets that you may purchase new or used textbooks. Follett Publishers sells both new and used textbooks as well as Amazon and Alibris. You may also buy them directly from the publishers. The Station textbook list is located in the quick links to the left.
